BMW MOA #12 BMW RA #287 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD President Presides at all meetings of the Club Has general supervision of the affairs of the Club Appoints any person or committee not otherwise ordered by the Club Personally represents the Club on proper occasions and in business contracts Assists all other officers of the Club in their records, correspondence, and other duties Promotes interest on the part of each member in the Club life and activities Votes only when one vote is necessary to break a tie Vice President Performs the duties of the president in his or her absence Chairs/organizes the annual Club Rally Forms and leads Rally Committee Chairs the activities committee Solicits ride ideas from the membership Promotes interest in the Club Secretary Keeps a record of the meetings of the Club Sends out notices of regular or special meetings Handles all Club correspondence Performs such other duties as generally fall to this office Maintains current list of members Distributes list of active members by October 1 of each year Promotes interest in the Club Treasurer Collects dues from all the members Collects all other money due the Club Assists the Rally Chair (Vice President) in developing annual Rally budget Make all payments from Club funds when so ordered by the Club Keeps an account of all Club money matters Makes a statement of the Club funds when called upon by the Club Performs such other duties as generally fall to this office Promotes interest in the Club Sergeant-at-Arms Maintains order at all meetings Interprets and enforces the rules of parliamentary procedure Welcomes guests and visitors to Club meetings Selects one or two assistants to aid in special tasks Arouses interest of membership in Club activities Assists in handling Club socials, parties, and other functions Promotes interest in the Club The Executive Board Made up of the Club officers (listed above) Acts for the Club in all matters ordered by the Club Make final decisions upon member expulsions Properly investigates and presents to the Club all business or important activity situations Has general control over all club affairs Appoints other committees as needed Officers are elected at the October Business Meeting.
