4th Annual Moonshine Lunch Run- moonshine-run.com/Moonshine
Per Barb Smith: I did attend last year, and hope to go this year. It was an absolute blast!! The best part was the giant "pajama party" that went on all night Saturday night in the hotel's breakfast room and conference room, since many folks who intended to head for home after the moonshine lunch on Saturday got snowed in.

Annual Ride the 3's
Below are the plans for the Leakey weekend:
We meet up in Leakey on Friday May 2 at the Frio Canyon Lodge. The dinner that night which will consist of some good Mexican barbeque that will be grilled under the gazebo at the lodge. I will be your sponsor and chef for the dinner (hopefully I can get my assistants Fat Andy & Tall Andy to help if I can get them to put their drinks down). I would love to get a head count so that I can buy accordingly. I will ask Walter & Connie at the Lodge to set up a cash bar for us outside as well.
Saturday May 3rd we will all head out early to ride the 3s. I am open to anyone that would be willing to lead the ride - I am guessing that Ignacio will volunteer without a problem. Later that evening, we will again meet for dinner under the gazebo at the Lodge. The cost for dinner will be determined by Connie and I will inform everyone as soon as I know (approx $20). Again, I will need an exact head count well in advance.
Sunday May 4th, everyone heads back home at whatever time they please.
Wally is organizing this event. Please CLICK HERE to email Wally or you may call him at 832.646.8872. Rooms are filling up fast!

Buescher State Park Camp Out
By the middle of January, you will be ready for a respite from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. So mark your calendar and join the rest of the Club at this annual event just a short drive from Houston. For the adventurous, all you'll need is a bedroll because there is always plenty of room to sleep in the Recreational Hall. If you prefer, there are motels in Smithville and nearby Bastrop. A Saturday night meal will be catered or prepared on site, compliments of the Club.
The park is located on the eastern edge of the "Lost Pines" region, just 2 miles northwest of Smithville. This tranquil wooded park covers 1,016 acres with numerous recreational possibilities. Drive the hilly, 13-mile paved scenic road which links Buescher with neighboring Bastrop State Park, or hike any of the 7.7 miles of trails winding through the dense pine-oak woodlands. Or just hang around the porch and share libations with members of the club.
For those wanting a bit more overnight privacy than the group accommodations, but not interested in a motel, there are limited-use cabins available to the club for an additional fee. Each cabin sleeps 4 (with 2 sets of bunk-beds), a table, chairs, AC/Heat, microwave, ceiling fan, refrigerator, kitchen counter top, curtains, and a wrap around deck. For $30 per person, you can get a bed for Friday and Saturday nights. But they are on a first come first served basis and go fast so get your check or cash to Beverly very soon.
Members will pay a discounted entry fee to the park if you mention that you are with the BMW club in the Recreational Hall. Contact Beverly Ruffin for additional details or if you would like to help with the Saturday night meal. You can also call Beverly at 713-253-9859.
